JANUARY 2022 -SEPTEMBER 2022
2 years seems to have flown by in the blink of an eye but the team is busier than ever.
Volatis Rio Tari is going from strength to strength and is now jumping confidently at home , we think 2023 will be her year to contest small eventing tracks.
She has had most of 2020 and all of 2021 off to grow and mature and was re-backed in March , the time off was a sensible move for her and she has come back with a level head and bold attitude to all asked of her.
She has contested 2 shows this year so far in Large Riding Horse classes with a 1st and Reserve Champion and 3rd.
Along with this she has been doing a lot of clear round locally to get her confidence boosted.
We are also pleased to announce we are now a sponsored rider of Celfach photography , a local event photography company who we are incredibly excited to partner up with , watch the space for the photoshoot pics coming in the next few weeks.
As 2022 the showing season comes to a close, we start to plan what to do next year and what exciting plans we can make with Rio as she turns 7 years old.

OCTOBER 2019-FEBRUARY 2020
So 2020 begins !
Its been an emotional few months at home with the sale of Solomon and the search for the next horse amongst other things and of course Christmas.
The search quickly escalated after Solomon was sold to his wonderful new home in Peterborough.
I had been scrolling through for sale ads for what like seemed forever then a little sports horse mare caught my eye.
Shown in hand very successfully as a yearling , 2 & 3 year old with Solway Sports Horses as well as wonderful breeding and was being backed ready for 2020,it was like she was waiting for us!
She was an absolute sweetie as we imagined she would be and after trying her we had committed to buying her subject to vet , as such we welcomed Volatis Rio Tari to Team Robertson.
Its been a bit stop/start progress with her because of the weather being so terrible but she is coming on really well.
She has been to a few in hand show where she has gained three 1st's , one championship and one reserve championship, all very pleasing results.
If all goes to plan she will contest large riding horse classes in mid to end 2020 , we are in no rush with her , we know she is very special and has a fan club already and understandably so , we are totally smitten with her.
If anyone says getting a young horse before winter is a good idea they are a liar, ha ha !!

MARCH 2019 - SEPTEMBER 2019
2019 seems to have flown by and we are at the end of the season already with a few winter shows planned over the coming months.
Millie did a few shows this summer picking up some pleasing placings but at 22 she is starting to slow down a bit which I never thought was possible as she was crazy up until a few years ago.
Solomon has done a lot of jumping this year which he has really enjoyed and we have done less showing with him this year because of this. We alps made the hard decision of not going to Equifest which is a team favorite show but we feel sometimes its nice to ring the changes.
However in August we did 2 shows with him where he took a hard fought reserve champion title at Reaseheath Equestrian Centre later in August we took him again as we so were determined to get a red, white and blue after being bridesmaid so many times. After pulling out all the stops he was first and we finally got our champion sash after a huge amount of work from the whole team.
However the win was bittersweet he had been sold when we took him and it was our last show with him and of course it all got very emotional!
He has taken us so far over the last 5 years we owe him nothing for the success he has given us , too wins and championships to mention.
He will now start his new chapter in October when he goes to his new home.
Now the hunt begins for the next superstar !!!
NOVEMBER 2018 - FEBRUARY 2019
At the end of October, Solomon won a strong novice dressage class with a pleasing percentage.
Apart from that things have been very quiet for the team as Christmas is over for another year.
Solomon has started regularly attending jumping clinics as well as cavaletti clinics which is a nice change.
During the winter months the team just ticks over ready to gear up for the 2019 season at the end of Feb where all the prep and planning begins!
OCTOBER 2018
As our season fast approaches its end we start bringing Solomon back into work.
He contested his Equifest 2019 qualifier picking up a first prize which was very pleasing considering he had been off from injury.
To change things up a bit we thought we would give dressage a go.
Solomon took on a Prelim & Novice with great success and went on to win the novice which was a very pleasing result.
Allen & Page continue to support us as a team and Solomon will feature on their stand at Your Horse Live in November.

SEPTEMBER 2018
September did not start in the best way after Solomon slipped over on the road in a freak accident. He was incredibly lucky having not damaged his knees down to the tendon. With some very nasty wounds which have now all healed with the miracle that is manuka honey along with 1 weeks box rest , 6 weeks on it has completed healed. With his accident as a set back we had to postpone our RIHS 2019 contested show because of his injuries.
He is more precious to heal rather than gaining a qualification !

JULY 2018
July was a quiet month for us with not much going on as the seasons starts to wind down.
Mille was set to compete at Leek Agricultural Show but due to no rain the classes were cancelled as the ground was too hard.
Solomon competed at Ashby Show in a HOYS middleweight class abley piloted by mum , Carolyn. He coped with the rock hard ground very well to end up with a 4th place which was very pleasing and a positive run up to Equifest.

This was her first county show in over 8 years and she loved every minute , its lovely to see her enjoying what she loves.
She came away with a pleasing 5th in a strong class but we will be trying for another qualifier at the end of July.
