Carolyn
With over 30 years experience in the equine industry from eventing to showing , she has an equine knowledge that is second to none. She is also a BHS qualified Intermediate (BHSII) instructor and gives regular lessons at home. Working on the prolific Langshot Stud for many years. She led Gunthwaite Briar , a Section B Stallion to success by qualifying for Wembley , which was HOYS before it moved to Birmingham. The roan stallion bred by Mrs M Parkin was kept at Andy Baldrys' Langshot stud for many years. He bred many successful Welsh B ponies on the showing circuit and his legacy still remaining in today's breeding. She also made it to Wembley with the Riding Club Teams in the early 80's. Away from showing , she competed in Eventing and Working Hunters in the early 90's to a very high level, she is also known as the plaiting queen ! Now she runs the yard as well as working part time as an equine NVQ assessor at the local college. Carolyn is also a Pony Club Examiner and local judge for numerous disciplines. |
Lauren
Lauren spent most of her early years on Langshot stud with Carolyn(mum) and has been around horses ever since. Sitting on her first pony at 2 years old in Lead Rein classes , she caught the showing bug and moved up to First Ridden then open classes by age 15. In the past she has competed in M&M classes but now contests Hunter classes. Current rides include Decorum a Middleweight Hunter and Royal Escort a Small Hunter Veteran who Carolyn also completes. Lauren has previously worked on many competitions yards including show jumper Ben Maher and Worker Hunter turned Dressage Rider Louise Bell. Holds her Stage II BHS exam and also regularly judges locally. Has a huge amount of knowledge of the showing discipline and is always learning new techniques through clinics , training sessions and lectures. Lauren is the eyes and ears on social media keeping up to date with all things showing |
